Carolina Renaissance Festival — Experience the Sights, Sounds, and Adventure of the Rich Renaissance Period

Huntersville, North Carolina is flocked by people each year to celebrate the beauty of Renaissance period at their Carolina Renaissance Festival, famous for being the grandest festivals there is in the world. Their 16th annual season will commence this fall for their seven festive weekends, Saturday and Sundays, from the 10th day of October to the 22nd of November.

The festival was introduced last 1994 and through the year, it is making a big hit among people. The festival is so huge that it can fill their twenty-acre park while offering different kinds of attractions like crafts, amusement rides, and tournaments. For some guests who want to boost up the experience of the event, they would dress in medieval armor and their Renaissance clothing while geared with preferred swords.

The Carolina Renaissance Festival is popular due to the fact that people are fascinated about the exquisiteness of the medieval and classic history. It was during the Renaissance period that people experienced a big impact on art, food, clothing, and theater.

This faire is a home to wide arrays of entertainers which comprise of theatrical presentations, comedy acts, joust tournaments and medieval feasts. There are castles in all shapes and sizes set up around in order for visitors to behold. For those who are looking for some fun in the sun; mazes, elephant rides, and catapults are available as well. There is also a realistic dungeon packed with period pictures and tools like swords that shows about the lives of people who are kept within the dungeon. There are skilled artisans selling their handcrafted items like clothes, jewelry, and tools. The renaissance expo is indeed perfect for the whole family!

And when it comes to festivals, who would forget about the foods? For the Carolina Renaissance Festival, it would normally comprise of big bowls of oozing chili and bratwurst, and there are turkey legs as well. Bear and ale are available to quench thirst that there is even a home brewed beer competition which is one of the many highlights of the events. Celtic music is played and during Halloween, the park will have a treasure hunt with exciting prizes to behold!

Indeed, this is among the most interactive entertainment shows and you have the choice whether you’ll remain among the audience or you’ll take part in the action. In here, you will experience the clashing of swords with full combat jousts!
